Construction Boom In NYC - Scaffolding and Construction Accidents on The Rise?

The New York City Department of Buildings has launched an initiative to inspect all construction/scaffolding sites in the wake of 2 firefighters losing their lives at the Deutsche Bank building and a other fatal scaffold collapses in and around New York City. I took a few photos of this construction scaffolding at PS 147 in Brooklyn, which is an accident waiting to happen. Also, I wonder how many documented workers there are working on this and other construction sites in and around the city?
